These creamy, delicious, protein-packed overnight oats will keep you satisfied all morning. The oats “cook” overnight, so no need for heating—making it a perfect, plant-based, healthy start to your day!

Why Overnight Oats are Perfect for Busy Mornings
I love oatmeal, but I don’t always have time to make it in the morning. Plus, I often find myself hungry just a couple of hours later. That’s why I turned to overnight oats—simple, quick, and they keep me full for hours. Here’s why I love them:
- You can add extra protein to power up your day.
- They’re healthy, whole grain, homemade.
- They’re make-ahead-friendly! Let them sit for at least five hours or overnight.
- They last up to four days in the fridge.
- Using a kitchen scale means minimal dishes to clean! 😉
Sweeten Naturally or Add a Touch of Indulgence
I like to sweeten my overnight oats naturally with sliced bananas and blueberries. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth, feel free to add a pinch of brown sugar, maple syrup, or honey.
I personally love using Bob’s Red Mill GF Organic Protein Oats for an added protein boost. Check them out here.

How to Make Overnight Oats
- Mix almond butter (or peanut butter) with coconut yogurt or Greek yogurt. If using plain dairy or Greek yogurt, you might need an extra sweetener to offset the tartness.
- Add almond milk for extra protein or use organic oat milk.
- Stir in regular oats (not instant or steel cut). Instant oats will disintegrate, and steel-cut oats won’t soften enough.
- Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 5 hours or overnight.
- In the morning, stir and serve with sliced bananas, fresh or frozen blueberries, or your favorite toppings.
