I need something a little more exciting than carrot sticks and sugar snap peas to keep me away from Cinnabon at the airport, Arby’s Curly Fries en route to Vegas, or… heaven forbid… the mini bar in the hotel room!
Since I now travel with a toddler, these are all kid-friendly too.
Pack small paper cups or containers and measure out a reasonable portion before digging in, because once you open the bag and start grazing there’s no stopping!

Hands down the best and “worthiest” crunchy, chip-fix around, with the whole-grain goodness and taste of popcorn.

Whole grain snacks, with sunflower seeds and toasted grains giving a delicious crunch.
Same amount of protein as almonds, but with half the fat and fewer calories.
If you can find them, the Salt & Pepper and Cinnamon Crunch are also delish!

Rocks n’ Rolls French Munching Cookies
Low fat, low sugar cookie fix!

After typing this list all day, I decided to weigh the rocks n’ rolls in my Costco 9-oz paper cup—that I usually fill with my snack of choice—and it was 90 grams! (= three servings) In the spirit of full disclosure, I’ll admit that not only did I plow through the whole cup, but still went in for more!
Not the best eating day.
So, be forewarned—these can be very “more-ish.” Purchase at your own risk!

Luna Fiber Bars
Delicious, soft-baked fruit filled bar, with 7g of fiber to keep you feeling satisfied for longer.
This is my go-to bar when I’m on the go (mall, car, etc.) and can’t get to fresh food—which is always my first preference.

Trader Joe’s Apple Carrot Crushers or GoGo Squeez
Fresh fruit is more satisfying than squeezable fruit—which doesn’t have as much fiber—but it’s a great way of getting fruit or veggies in when you’re traveling.
Call me crazy but I prefer the Apple Carrot to plain Applesauce because I feel like we’re getting some veggies in too!
